Two sisters, lost to the cold Nellie Arnold was a slave at the Three Sisters Plantation that was owned by the Plummer family back in 1857. The owners felt that Nellie was too old to be sold so the family sent her to Washington, DC to work on another of their plantations. Two of Nellie's daughters stayed behind at the Three Sisters plantation to work. Their names were Rosa and Marjory. Once a flour mill, now displays art work. The Arts Center is located at 40 South Carroll Street. It was previously a flour mill founded in 1850. You can see national and regional art exhibits here today.
