A mysterious black-clad stranger makes a yearly pilgrimage to the grave of Edgar Allan Poe, leaving behind three red roses and a bottle of French cognac. Apparitions and strange sounds have been reported in the big, old house in Waterville Whitish shapes have been observed in an upstairs bathroom. Also, doorknocks on one of the upstairs bedrooms have been reported when there was no one around to be doing the knocking.
The house is a private residence. Some claim to hear screams in this area, and some have seen "little girls walking around.
