First the tenants and then the residents were positively not alone. The home was built in the early 1700's. The builder was John Bigger who built the house in the shape of a cross. Eric Schneider decided to buy Cedar Hill after he saw the unusual house. He rented the house out and the tenant began having strange occurrences. Dual friendly ghosts reportedly haunt this inn This inn is haunted by two "friendly" spirits. The ghostly spirits, named Minerva and Esmerelda, reportedly like to watch over the guests.
The inn's owners claim to have seen the ghostly apparitions and that they are used to the spirits' pranks. Long gone and submerged, some spirits remain. The intentional joining of three major streams formed Lake Roland, the Jones Falls, Roland Run, and the Towson Run. The streams were brought together in the late 1800's. The lakes were formed to build a water supply for Baltimore City. A few miles out of Chestertown there is a old farm house on rt. 291. The house used to be owned by the Bartz family one some of them still haunt the house. Strange occurences after a young man's death nearby. In January, 2005, a young man's body was discovered amidst 70 tons of anthracite in a gondola at nearby Dickerson / Mirant coal power plant on the Potomac River.
