Several ghosts haunt this old institution

The ghost of Marie Mount allegedly plays the piano on stormy nights in the hall named for her, and members of the Maryland Ghosts and Spirits Association detected the presence of several other spirits in Marie Mount Hall during an investigation in October 2002. Larry Donnelly, a former Dining Services employee, spotted a female ghost in the Rossborough Inn in 1981, during renovations to the building. Several weeks later, a waiter at the Inn saw the same woman, dressed in yellow, as Donnelly had described. Spirits have also been detected in Morrill Hall, and ghosts are rumored to inhabit Easton Hall, the Stamp Student Union, H. J. Patterson Hall, and the Alpha Omicron Pi and Kappa Delta sorority houses.

Remember, she hates men.

Around the start of the our American Revolutionary War is when this started. In Dorchester County just a few miles outside of Cambridge down Bucktown Road. To what was known as the Bucktown Plantation that was near and around an area known as the Greenbrier Swamp. The owner of the Plantation was a very hard man that loved his money. As the war was starting he feared that the British or someone may come and take his money. He had several slaves who worked on the Plantation, one of these slaves was a large woman that was called Big Liz.

The tavern is haunted by a ghostly man who has been seen on the front porch and on the outdoor patio. He has long black hair.
