Murdered tender keeps the faith and light.

The Bodkin Point Lighthouse was built in 1822 but abandoned in 1855. The Bodkin lighthouse keeper was murdered one evening in the lighthouse. His ghostly apparition has been seen walking in the lighthouse. He appears to still be doing his job. On stormy nights the light sometimes shines to guide boaters to the harbor. The lighthouse is no longer used, and there is no light inside so people do not understand how the light appears. People believed that the lighthouse keeper is still working to alert boaters of danger and that he is still trying to prevent water disasters.
