Hilltop House Hotel

The Historic Hilltop House Hotel in Harpers Ferry includes some unusual guests

Built in 1888 by African American proprietor Thomas S. Lovett, the hotel, built on a hilltop provides a splendid view of Harpers Ferry, WV and the Potomac river. The hotel, which still hosts guests even today has a long history including some tragedy events. Employees and guest alike have experienced the paranormal within the confines of this aging hotel.

Glen Burnie Triangle

A Bermuda Triangle, of spiritual sorts.

There is an area in Glen Burnie that is known as the Glen Burnie Triangle by local residents of that area. The Glen Burnie Triangle is located between Furnace Branch Road near Marley Creek, Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Ritchie Hwy., and Earleigh Heights Road. This area was the location where Indian tribes would come to gather in the past. There is a large rock that the Indians used for ceremonies and sacrifices. Indians reportedly haunt the area from the past.

Phantom dog story

Maryland has a number of phantom dogs stories. Singleton Burgee was a slave owner. All of his slaves despised him. On his deathbed, a man wearing a black cape rode up on a black horse and came to visit Singleton. The strange man stood over Singleton's death bed. The strange man queried, "Are you ready, Singleton Burgee?" and then the man was gone.

This church is thought to be haunted. The church now stands empty, but the sounds of organ music reportedly can still sometimes be heard coming from its long-empty depths. Lights turn on in the church and flicker, though there is no electricity in the building. People have reported seeing ghostly apparitions in and around the church.
