Underground Railroad and other history have left spirits behind

The Belmont House was built in 1738. It sits on 82 acres of land. The mansion was built by Caleb Dorsey but is now owned by the American Chemical Society. The "Belmont Conference" is an old estate that has been converted into a conference center. Workers at the conference center have heard the sounds of horses race up the long driveway; then, a knock is often heard at the front door. But, no one is ever there.

Ghostly Lights follow unsuspecting drivers at night!

Strange headlights would sometimes follow cars late at night, especially if you were the only car on the road!

Ghostly, underground antics.

These caverns are known to be haunted. Tour Guides and tourists have reported seeing spooky lights in the caverns where there should be only blackness. The lights bounce about the ceiling and walls yet retreat if someone tries to approach them.

The spirits of a young boy and a man and woman still travel on Hacker's Creek Hill.
