Varied uses over long time endears many ghosts. The Carroll County Farm Museum has a farmhouse from the 1800's. The museum has a number of trade building that highlight and demonstrate what life was like in the early 19th century. The museum consists of 142 acres.
Carroll County was created in 1837 by an act of state legislature which made Westminster the County Seat. The legislature built a number of government buildings, including an almshouse for the poor which was built between 1852 and 1853. The Almshouse was called the County Home. The Almshouse purpose was to house the poor people of Carroll County. People who were insane or criminals also stayed at the Almshouse. For the insane, the the rooms had barred windows and metal-lined walls. She leaves no chair unturned The street is haunted by young girl dressed in white. She has been seen floating through hallways in one of the houses along the road. Chairs have turned around backwards after her presence and objects have disappeared.
