A ghostly apparition has been seen near the coal chutes in the East End of Parkersburg. A black and white apparition has been spotted in this area dozens of times. There were similar ghost sightings in August of 1888, sightings which involved the apparition of a little girl who was seen playing in the streets near dusk. Some people saw the ghosly little girl in a white dress, and others saw her in a black dress. Were there two renditions of the same force?

Church murders always turn bad

The Church is haunted by a man who was murdered in the church. People have seen his ghostly apparition walking in the church and he has been seen looking out of the front door at night.

Alone, nevermore

People have felt "unalone" when visiting this place, the feeling of presence growing with nearness to the cemetery.

It all started with the horse

A headless horseman reportedly haunts this farm. Confederate Soldiers, killed at the Battle of Cedar Mountain, are buried under the front lawn of this house.
